Do you think just one person can make a difference for women and girls?
Last week, the Hot Mommas Project launched a contest for tickets to our ground-breaking women’s leadership half-day bootcamp: Sis U. We’ve cracked the code on confidence and can measurably improve it.
Our research shows : It’s ALL about confidence ladies.
Strangely, with all our degrees and success, we have less of it than our male counterparts. It starts when we’re teens. Bummer.
But here’s the good news. We have every opportunity to round out the toolkit. Everyone from the guys in our life to world leaders are on our side. Haven’t you heard? We’re the economic solution.
The last people who need to be our on side? OURSELVES. Since Hot Mommas Project is one of the noted champions producing results for women and girls… let’s get to work.
One person who did get to work was Rachel Eberhard. She signed up on our list to win free tickets to our seminar on October 15th at the George Washington School of Business. Guess what? She won.
How do you get women – BUSY WOMEN – to say “yes” in this day and age? It’s not easy. Yet, it’s CRITICAL for our mission with the Hot Mommas Project. If we’re all going to help women and girls, we need all hands on deck. So we asked Rachel:
Hot Mommas Project: “Rachel, What drew you to say ‘yes’ and enter this contest? With so many demands on your time. So many emails in your in-box. What was it”?
Rachel: I could never pass up an opportunity to support and network with other female leaders who are doing incredible things to help their fellow ladies succeed. When I heard about the contest for sisUdc from a friend, I admired the ideas and energy behind such an event, so entering was a no-brainer. I’m honored to be a part of it!
Tune in here next week to learn more about Rachel, and our digital classroom winner.

The question remains:
Do you think just one person can make a difference for women and girls?

I’m inspired by the question and YES WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. Even if just for one person, and that person passes it forward and so on, and so on. I’ve been mentoring and have been mentored by female leaders and I see the difference it makes.
Ditto on the issue of confidence, we are our own worst enemy, it’s those patterns of behavior that hold us back. Women tend to be Pleasers ( saying what is right, not what we believe), Drama Queens, Victims, or Rescuers. Sylvia Lafair has identified 13 patterns in the workplace in her book, “Don’t Bring It to Work” and now she has started leadership enpowering retreats for women, GUTSY–check it out, http://www.ceoptions.com/gutsy-women.
